Have you ever had someone call you clever, stunning, or sweet? It’s a pretty good feeling! Just a single word can create a feeling that leads to a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This idea doesn’t just apply to how we feel about ourselves though, it also applies to how we feel about our homes. As great as it would be to have the house with the big tree in the yard and space to do things, the real thing we are looking for is that feeling.

Your home is probably where you spend most of your day, yet most of spend a lot more time thinking about how it looks instead of how it feels. However, it is a lot easier (and cheaper!) to change how your home feels.

This home may have have lots of couches and a big basket of blankets to cuddle. A tea kettle lives on the stove next to a collection of warm beverages. Candles and glowing diffusers fill the house with soft light and smells.
